The real charm of Hotel Century Hills (ホテルセンチュリーヒルズ) unfolds after your round. The deep green of Asakura beyond the room window, a natural hot spring that melts away the fatigue of the course in an instant, and a table set with local seasonal ingredients. Being on the golf-course grounds, it's a golf hotel where everything is within arm's reach. From the rooms to the hot spring, dining, and amenities, here's how to enjoy this stay to the fullest.

The rooms — a restful space that lets nature in

The rooms at Hotel Century Hills feature natural views through large windows. After walking the course all day, it's a fine place to come back and rest while gazing at the greenery outside, and the necessary amenities are well stocked.

Nature-view rooms

The greens of the course and mountain ridges come in through large windows. After a round, opening the curtains and recovering over a cup of tea is a luxury unique to a golf hotel.

Amenities

Basic supplies are provided — toothbrush and toothpaste, shampoo and body wash, razor, comb, hair dryer, and so on. Disposable items can be taken with you, but the hair dryer, cups, and robes stay behind.

Wi-Fi · Non-smoking

In-room Wi-Fi is provided (check the connection method in the room guide or at the front desk). Rooms are non-smoking throughout as standard; smoking is done at designated areas.

Voltage / outlets

Japan's voltage is 100V, with Type A (two flat parallel pins) outlets. Most Thai plugs fit as is; devices with round pins may need a conversion adapter.

Beware of smoking in rooms

Most Japanese hotels have non-smoking rooms. Smoking in the room can result in a large cleaning fee, so if you need to smoke, ask the front desk about the designated smoking area and use it. The same applies to e-cigarettes.

Breakfast — start your round with an Asakura morning

Breakfast is taken at the hotel restaurant. The meal is prepared with seasonal local Asakura ingredients (旬の食材, shun no shokuzai) and, depending on operations, is served as a buffet or a Japanese set meal. It's a warm, refined morning spread, perfect for fueling up before walking the course.

For a dawn tee-off — ask about early breakfast

If your tee-off is earlier than the breakfast start time, the restaurant may not yet be open. At check-in, it's good to ask in advance whether an early breakfast is possible, or whether it can be replaced with a boxed meal (早朝弁当, sōchō bentō). Breakfast is included in the package, so you can enjoy it at no extra cost.

The natural hot spring — recovery right after golf

Hotel Century Hills has a natural hot spring (天然温泉, tennen onsen), so you can ease the fatigue of your round that very day. Beyond the open, expansive large windows lies a rich natural landscape, designed so that it feels like soaking in an open-air bath (露天風呂, rotenburo) in the heart of nature.

Large bath · open-air bath

A spacious large bath filled with natural hot-spring water, plus spots overlooking Asakura's scenery through large windows and the open-air bath. A bath after a round at dusk is exceptional.

Sauna · steam sauna

With both a dry sauna and a steam sauna, it's a good place to work up a sweat and release the tension in your body.

Cold-water bath

A cold-water bath (冷水風呂) for alternating hot and cold. Cooling off after the sauna can further boost the recovery effect.

Bathing order and etiquette are in Chapter 16

Japanese hot springs have an order and etiquette to follow, such as "wash your body before getting in the bath." If it's your first time, it can feel a little unfamiliar, so the bathing method is explained in detail in Chapter 16, "How to use the hot spring." Check the front-desk guidance for the hours of use (usually evening and early morning) and any rest periods.

Amenities — things for everyone in your party

Beyond golf and the hot spring, there are facilities so that companions and family not playing a round can stay and enjoy too.

Swimming pool

A pool that companions or family not playing a round can enjoy. Check on-site guidance for the season and hours of use.

Tennis court

A tennis court, handy when you want exercise beyond golf. Inquire at the front desk about availability and booking.

VIP house

A VIP house suited to private gatherings. For group or hospitality use, it's good to inquire in advance.

Japanese banquet hall

A Japanese banquet hall (和宴会場, wa-enkaijō), handy for group golf gatherings and dinners.

Restaurant

Where you take breakfast and meals made with seasonal Asakura ingredients. Confirm hours and the menu at check-in.

Lounge

A good space to rest briefly before or after a round, or to wait for your party. Check on-site guidance for availability and hours.

Etiquette to observe

A golf hotel, too, values a quiet, clean environment. Even with a large party, observing the few points below makes you welcome anywhere.

  • Keep your voice down in hallways and elevators (mind the noise between rooms)
  • Separate trash into burnables, cans/bottles, and PET bottles as instructed in the room guide
  • Wear a yukata or loungewear only as far as the room and large-bath route (check on-site rules for the restaurant and lobby)
  • Mind phone calls and the sound of golf bags in hallways late at night
🗣 When asking about hotel facilities — a phrase in Japanese
Onsen wa nanji made hairemasu ka?
"Until what time can I use the hot spring?"
Chōshoku wa nanji kara desu ka?
"What time does breakfast start?"
Pūru wa riyō dekimasu ka?
"Can I use the pool?"
Heya kara keshiki ga yoku miemasu ne.
"You can see the view well from the room."

Room configurations, natural hot-spring hours, breakfast times, and amenities may vary by season and operating policy. We recommend confirming the exact details via the Hotel Century Hills guidance or at the front desk. For hot-spring bathing etiquette, see Chapter 16, "How to use the hot spring."
