From Kota Kinabalu International Airport (BKI) to Nexus Resort in Karambunai is about 30–40 minutes by car (roughly 35km, on the Karambunai peninsula to the north). This package covers land arrangements only (flights and transfers not included), so you'll arrange the airport–resort transfer yourself using one of the options below.
Getting to the resort

Immigration → baggage (including your golf bag) → Customs → arrivals hall. Switch on your SIM/eSIM data first (Chapter 2) → change a small amount at the airport money changer if needed → hail a Grab or buy a taxi coupon. Bear in mind whether the vehicle can fit a golf bag in the boot (an SUV/van rather than a sedan) when you book.
This package's standard configuration does not include transfers. Depending on the departure and group size, a group transfer may be provided separately, so when booking, be sure to check with your coordinator whether airport pickup is included (LINE @233uigab). If it is, just follow the guide/driver meeting instructions in the arrivals hall.
Worth knowing for the drive
- Show the address and destination name in English for accuracy: "Nexus Resort & Spa, Karambunai, Sabah"
- The resort sits well inside the peninsula, away from the city centre, so the roads are quiet on a late arrival — Grab or a pre-booked pickup is recommended
- If you're arriving late, share your check-in, breakfast and next-day tee-off times with the resort/coordinator in advance
