Nha Trang and Cam Ranh are about the most reliably warm and sunny spot in Vietnam. It stays roughly 21–33°C year-round with no real cold, January–May is the prime golf window (especially February–April), and October–December is the wettest stretch. A sea breeze blows almost constantly, so plan for both feel-temperature and club selection.
Two seasons
Nha Trang effectively splits into a dry season (roughly January–August) and a wet season (September–December). Even in the wet season it rarely rains all day; most rain is a short late-afternoon shower. Note that October–November can bring typhoons or heavy downpours, so build buffer time into your golf schedule.
What differs from Thailand is the humidity and wind. The links course on the Cam Ranh coast gets a strong sea breeze, so even at the same distance you may need an extra club or two into the wind.
| Jan–Feb | Dry, cool and pleasant, 21–28°C. Ideal for golf |
|---|---|
| Mar–Apr | Sunny and warm, 24–31°C. Peak for both beach and golf |
| May–Aug | Hot with strong sun, 27–33°C. Early tee-off advised |
| Sep–Dec | Wet with showers, 23–30°C. Typhoons possible Oct–Nov |
Course dress code
Both KN Golf Links and Vinpearl Golf apply a standard dress code. A collared golf shirt (or a collared performance tee), golf slacks or knee-length Bermuda shorts, and soft-spike golf shoes are the baseline. Avoid sleeveless shirts (except women's golf-specific tops), jeans, athletic shorts, and beach sandals.
- 3–4 breathable collared golf shirts
- Mostly quick-dry performance fabrics
- One lightweight windproof/waterproof jacket (sea breeze & showers)
- SPF50+ sunscreen, wide-brim hat, sunglasses
- Spare golf gloves (they soak with sweat)
- Electrolyte powder/drinks and a cooler bag
- If travelling Oct–Dec: umbrella, rain suit, waterproof shoe bag

Weather can change quickly, so check the forecast again 3–4 days before departure. This reflects general climate trends as of June 2026.
