Vinpearl Golf Nha Trang — In Depth

Golf Day · 11 / 23

Vinpearl Golf Nha Trang, designed by IMG and opened in 2011 on Hon Tre Island, is an 18-hole par-71 course (~6,787 yards) with the rare quality of ocean views on every hole. The island is reached by a ~3.3 km bay-crossing cable car (one of the world's longest sea-crossing cable cars) or a ~7-minute speedboat, so the experience begins before the round. It is often named 'Vietnam's best scenic course'.

The way to the island — an attraction before the round

The first charm of Vinpearl Golf is the journey to the course. Setting off from the mainland cable-car terminal in Nha Trang, the ~3.3 km cable car crossing tens of metres above the sea is itself an unforgettable experience, taking in the ocean, the city and scattered islands at a glance. When the cable car isn't running or your schedule suits it, you reach the island by speedboat (~7 minutes).

Course character

Vinpearl isn't as long or punishing as KN Links. At par 71 and around 6,800 yards, it's a well-balanced course you can enjoy even with higher-handicap golfers or companions. That said, the island terrain brings slopes and wind, and seaward holes carry OB/hazard pressure, so don't get complacent.

The course's true value is the scenery, not the score. Every hole sees the sea, and a round around sunrise or sunset offers an endless string of photo spots.

Signature — the par-3 13thThe par-3 13th, played straight toward the sea, is Vinpearl Golf's icon. The open ocean backdrop makes for stunning photos, but in strong wind the club choice is tricky — play safely to the centre of the green.

Soak up the views

Don't obsess over score — enjoy the ocean view on every hole. Bring a camera/phone for photos, but keep up the pace of play.

For families

Non-golfing companions can enjoy the cable car, VinWonders, water park and zoo — all on the island.

From real round reportsGolfers praise the wide fairways, large greens, impeccable conditioning and near-5-star service. As everywhere in Vietnam a caddie is mandatory, and reviews often rate the caddies, scenery and overall service highly. Two things to know: (1) the views are superb but it is by no means easy for the average golfer (single-figure handicappers especially enjoy the challenge); and (2) due to caddie/buggy logistics, the course can pause operations through the middle of the day (roughly 08:30–12:00), so unless you take an early-morning slot you may be given an early-afternoon tee time. For that reason, lock in your tee time as early as possible through your agency.

Course data, access modes and connected-facility operations can vary by season and Vinpearl's policy. Confirm the latest details when booking. (As of June 2026)
