Da Nang and Hoi An are a treasure house of central Vietnamese cooking. Da Nang's signature Mì Quảng, seafood straight from the East Sea, street banh mi, and Hoi An's one-of-a-kind Cao Lau — the gaps between rounds become a journey of their own.

Mì Quảng
Da Nang's signature noodle. Thick turmeric-yellow noodles with shrimp, pork and quail egg, topped with peanuts and a rice cracker, in just a little rich broth. A must the moment you land in Da Nang.
Seafood (Hải sản)
Seafood houses around My Khe Beach and Son Tra are favourites. Pick shrimp, crab, clams and fish by weight — grilled, steamed or stir-fried. Dipped in lime-chili salt (muối ớt chanh), it suits the Thai palate well.
Banh mi
A Vietnamese sandwich of crusty baguette filled with meat, pâté, pickled veg and coriander. Perfect as a breakfast en route to the course or a quick lunch. Da Nang has several famed stalls worth the queue.
Cao Lau · Hoi An
A noodle dish that only tastes right in Hoi An — chewy noodles with char siu, crisp noodle croutons and herbs. Best enjoyed in the evening, paired with a stroll through the Ancient Town.
| Local eateries / stalls | A bowl of mi quang / banh mi / pho range (cash handy) |

| Seafood restaurants | Ordered by weight — reasonable for a group; check market price |
| Hoi An restaurants | Tourist pricing but ambience/view included; cards often accepted |
| Hotel dining | Premium at five-star resorts; sunset bars, fine dining |
Central Da Nang has several halal restaurants for Muslim golfers (Indian, Malay and Indonesian options included). Searching 'Halal Da Nang' on Google Maps in advance and saving the spots makes routing easy. The hotel concierge can also point you to a nearby halal-friendly restaurant.
Vietnamese coffee is perfect both for a pre-round lift and post-round wind-down. Try cà phê sữa đá (strong phin drip with condensed milk), the Da Nang cafe signature coconut coffee, even egg coffee. On hot days, order it iced ('đá' = ice).
- A bowl of mi quang (first day in Da Nang)
- My Khe seafood dinner (lime-chili salt)
- Try a famous banh mi stall with a queue
- Hoi An cao lau + Ancient Town at night
- Cà phê sữa đá / coconut coffee
- Pre-search halal/veg options (if needed)
Local food isn't heavily spiced, so it sits easily even for Thai golfers. After a midday round, start light to manage your energy, then save the full seafood feast and Hoi An dining for the evening.
