Saigon golf has two leads: ‘Tan Son Nhat in the city’ and ‘heritage VGCC.’ They are opposites in character, so one trip lets you taste both worlds.
Two stages, two experiences
Tan Son Nhat is the only course inside the city, right beside the airport — its appeal is the urban championship atmosphere with planes overhead and night golf. Paspalum turf keeps it in great shape year-round, and the short travel time means you can play almost straight after landing.
Vietnam Golf & Country Club (VGCC), east of the city in Thu Duc, is Vietnam's first 36-hole club. The East Course was designed by major champion Lee Trevino, and the West Course opened the club — two contrasting 18s at one calm, parkland heritage venue. Other courses in the Saigon region include Long Thanh and Twin Doves.

Common operations — carts, caddies, turf
Both Saigon courses include a riding cart and a caddie as standard (green fee/caddie fee/cart usually included; caddie tip extra). The Vietnamese norm leans toward one caddie per player, with carts kept mostly on paths. Thanks to the heat, halt houses are well provided, so it's easy to top up water and snacks every nine holes.
