Course Check-in & Reception

Golf day · 12 / 23

Your day at a Vietnamese course really starts at the reception counter. Arrive 60–90 minutes before your tee time so check-in, club rental, your locker and a warm-up are all done without rushing — the first hole feels far easier. Green fee, cart and caddie are already in your package, so on-site you only pay for the extras you choose.

As you enter the clubhouse your guide or a staff member points you to the pro shop / reception. Give the booking name (or group name / voucher) and your round is registered; you receive a locker key and a scorecard. This is also when your group size, tee time and the nine you start on (e.g. course A→B) are confirmed. A passport isn't usually needed, but to run a locker/F&B tab the desk may pre-register a card.

Rentals are good enough that you can show up empty-handed and still play. Better courses offer full-set rentals (Callaway, TaylorMade, etc.) and shoes by size. Popular sizes go fast, though, so reserve the day before via LINE if you can. Gloves, balls and tees are bought in the pro shop.

Sort these via LINE the night before

Tell us your rental club handedness and shoe size, pickup time, or any change in player count the night before via LINE @233uigab and we'll pass it to the course. For early tee times before hotel breakfast opens, ask us to arrange a packed bite and water too.

The scorecard shows the layout and hole distances (usually in yards). Each cart has a GPS distance screen so you can see how far it is to the green in real time. If you have time after check-in, loosen up at the driving range and putting green. Range balls are free or a small fee, and on hot days a proper warm-up before the round is the safer way to go.

  1. ArriveReach the clubhouse 60–90 min before tee time. Leave your bag at bag drop and staff move it to your cart.
  2. Check inShow your name/voucher at reception → round registered, collect locker key and scorecard.
  3. RentIf needed, get clubs/shoes/balls/glove at the pro shop (or pay). Confirm handedness and size.
  4. Locker & changeChange into golf shoes in the locker room and stow valuables. Keep a spare shirt in the locker on hot days.
  5. Warm upLoosen up at the range and putting green; breaking a sweat first helps in the heat.
  6. Tee offGather at the starter ~10 min before your time → meet your caddie and cart, head to the 1st.

The starter tent is the real start line

Most courses do a final check at the starter tent by the 1st hole — your caddie is assigned here and a drinks cart comes by once. Tee times run on the dot, so be at the tent at least 10 minutes early; arrive late and the group behind may go ahead of you.

  • Leave your passport in the hotel safe — bring only an ID copy
  • Small VND notes for caddie tip, drinks and snacks
  • Sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, cooling towel (midday heat is real)
  • 1–2 gloves, spare balls, rangefinder if you use one
  • Spare shirt and socks to change into when sweat-soaked

Included (package)

Green fee, cart and caddie fee — these three should never be charged again on-site.

Extra on-site

Club/shoe rental, buggy insurance (if you drive), drinks/snacks, souvenirs, and the caddie tip.

Tee times are booked — late = lost

Vietnamese courses run on a booked tee-time system at 8–10 minute intervals. Arrive late and your slot can be pushed back or merged with another group, and in bad cases the round can be lost altogether. Traffic, money-changing and rentals eat time, so stick to the recommended arrival. If you'll be late, message us on LINE right away and we'll try to smooth it with the course.

Bag drop → cart: staff move it for you

When you arrive, just set your golf bag down at the bag drop by the clubhouse entrance. Staff tag it and load it onto your cart. No need to haul it to the locker room or range, so focus on check-in, changing and warm-up. After the round, your bag comes back out to bag drop.

Green fee, cart and caddie fee are all in your package. Many courses let on-site extras (rental, drinks, tips) run on a tab settled at the end of the round, so check the bill when you finish.
